ORIENTATION COUNTS.
About one hour of your first day, included in your 4+ hour shift.

We provide snacks and water.
DRESS FOR THE WEATHER.
You may work outside. Wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing.
FIRST DAY MANDATORY.
Miss your first scheduled day and you will be dropped from the program.
NO-SHOW POLICY.
After day one: one no-show = warning. Two no-shows = dropped from the program.
BOOKINGS ARE FINAL.
Trying to cancel, change, or reschedule a booked day counts as a no-show.

CAN I COMPLETE COURT-ORDERED HOURS HERE?
We offer required community service for court and probation hours. Ask your court or probation officer to approve the location before paying. The court decides whether your hours count.
CAN I DO CALFRESH OR MEDI-CAL BENEFITS HOURS?
We offer free volunteer hours for benefits requirements ($0 enrollment). CalFresh participants receive a CF 888 volunteer-hours verification form for verified service. Medi-Cal requirements may differ, and your county or benefits program decides what meets its rules. The free plan is not for court orders and does not include a court letter.
DO I PAY FOR EVERY DAY I WORK?
No. For paid court-ordered plans, you pay the enrollment fee once. There is no additional charge for each shift booked while your plan is active. The benefits-only plan is free.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO FINISH MY HOURS?
Your plan starts on the date you purchase it. The 1–30 hour plan lasts 1 month; 31–60 hours lasts 3 months; 61–100 and 101+ hours last 6 months. The $19 low-income plan lasts 6 months. The free benefits-only plan has no fixed expiration. There are no extensions for paid plans; you must purchase a new plan if yours expires before you finish.
WHO CAN USE THE $19 LOW-INCOME PLAN?
Anyone with qualifying proof of low income can select the $19 court-ordered enrollment plan, regardless of how many hours are required. You must upload qualifying proof showing your name when booking your first day.
HOW DO I BOOK MY FIRST DAY AND LATER DAYS?
First, enroll in the correct plan. Then book your first day online. Return to the same booking calendar to book every additional day. Book at least 24 hours ahead. We have limited spots each day, so book all the days you need early. Each shift must be booked and confirmed.
WHEN AND WHERE ARE SHIFTS?
Shifts start at 8 AM on scheduled weekdays and last 4–8 hours, in person at 140 Calaveras Ave, Modesto, CA 95354. Your first day includes about one hour of mandatory orientation within your 4+ hour shift.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING AND WEAR?
Bring your lunch. We provide water and snacks. You may work outside, so wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT SHOW UP?
Your first day is mandatory. Missing it means you will be dropped from the program. After day one, one no-show = warning; two no-shows = dropped from the program. Trying to cancel, change, or reschedule a booked day counts as a no-show.
CAN I GET A REFUND?
Enrollment fees are nonrefundable after purchase, including if you miss a shift, change your mind, or do not like the assigned work or organization, except where required by law.
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY COMPLETION LETTER?
For court-ordered enrollment, we provide a signed completion letter after your required hours are finished and verified. The court decides whether to accept the hours. The free benefits-only plan does not include a court letter.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM DROPPED?
You must meet with the volunteer coordinator in person to be reconsidered for the program. If approved to return to a paid plan, you must pay a new enrollment fee. The benefits-only plan remains free.
