Championing Social Justice

Message for Those Wanting to Help:

What if your next decision could change a life? There is a man seeking shade under a tree in the blistering Modesto heat, knowing he has no home to return to and no relief from the relentless sun. There’s a mother in our Latino community on the westside, working two jobs yet unable to afford both food and air conditioning, fearing the day her children might have to sleep in a car. There’s a young man in his 20s who only knows addiction and survival, recently released from jail and eager to rebuild his life but facing barriers at every turn.

These are the stories unfolding every day in our community. They are our neighbors, and they need more than just a helping hand—they need hope. For them, it’s not about charity; it’s about survival. It’s about having the opportunity to rewrite their stories in a world that too often overlooks them.

Volunteer Opportunities:

You have the power to be the lifeline someone clings to when all else fails. Consider becoming a Peer Navigator, guiding individuals through recovery and helping them find resources. As a Re-Entry Program Coordinator, you can assist formerly incarcerated individuals in reintegrating into society with dignity and support. If you're passionate about education, join us as a Workshop Facilitator to empower others with skills and knowledge.

"Empowering communities and fostering resilience is the greatest service we can render to the world."
